What To Expect

First of all, we ask that you bring in a supportive friend or family member during the consultation with Dr. Sung. Why bring someone? Dr. Sung prefers an extra set of ears. After choosing the desired sedation option and scheduling an appointment we ask that you have a companion drive you to the office on the day of the appointment. Your companion will enjoy snacks and refreshments while you get tucked in soft warm blankets, watch TV or listen to calming music in the dark. As a result of oral sedation, you will be relaxed and have the ability to respond to commands. In conclusion of the visit, we will hydrate you with electrolytes, escort you out in a wheelchair to your companion’s ride. Your companion will be given extra electrolytes for you to hydrate throughout the day. Finally, you wake up the next day with a healthier mouth and a positive experience.
Is It Safe?
Absolutely! Dr. Sung is licensed to perform oral conscious sedation. He is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support using advanced emergency medical kits, patient monitoring equipment, and highly trained staff. Of the dozens of sedation cases performed, Dr. Sung has had 100% success!
Will It Hurt?
Not at all! We use a powerful custom-made topical anesthetic combined with a gentle touch therefore the entire process effortless.
